H&M first global collaboration with Indian designer Sabyasachi is set to hit stores in India on August 12. The collection comprises womenswear and menswear.

“I am happy to announce the new date for the collaboration with H&M, as it gives us the opportunity to spread the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a wider audience in India and worldwide. Due to the complexities of the Covid-19 situation, we had to put the launch on hold but I’m eagerly looking forward to bringing this ‘ready-to-wear’ collection that will bring relaxed sophistication to everyday life in an understated yet glamorous style.” Sabyasachi said.

It includes long flowy dresses, tunics, blouses, shirts, wide pants, sarees, poplin and utility shirts, which will be retailed at ten select stores in the country as well as on the Swedish brand’s online website and marketplace Myntra. The collaboration was first announced last year but was stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Sabyasachi x H&M collection will offer a complete fashion wardrobe for both ladies and men, including accessories, jewellery, footwear, sunglasses all at accessible price points. Collaboration themed as Wanderlust, it will present rich textiles in modern as well as classic Indian silhouettes that resonate with the modern global nomad mindset.

Take a look

This button-top kurta from the collaborative collection is on our most favourite list. The print and breezy fabric pack the aesthetic of the collection.

This cotton canvas biker jacket paired with the same print trousers is also one of the highlights of the collection. Easy to style that goes with everything when worn separately.

The khaki utility wear shirt defines the 2021 utilitarian wear trend. A comfortable piece that can be paired with almost everything, making the colour stand out.

This printed silk scarf has to be one of the best accessories in the collection. The shades of blue on the scarf boast of Indian heritage in their own way.

This statement shirt from Sabyasachi x H&M has to be in your wardrobe, a collector’s piece.
