Bentley and The Macallan Collaborate on Special Single Malt
Bentley And The Macallan Team-Up For A Special Edition Single-Malt

Unfortunately, no prices have been revealed yet.

Bentley has been enjoying a string of successes lately. Following the unveiling of its India-exclusive ‘Opulence Edition’ of bespoke models, the marque has now partnered with the iconic single malt whisky manufacturer, Macallan, to create a special scotch.

Named the ‘The Macallan Horizon,’ the yet-to-be-priced bottle comes in a special glass vessel, crafted from the finest glass available. But before we digress, the bottle also features encased carbon leather with a tasteful chestnut colour and includes a frame made from recycled copper.

As if that weren't enough to delight Bentley customers, the inclusion of an oak wood inlay crafted from one of the six oak casks used in the whisky's creation might just sway shoppers towards making the purchase.

Regarding the whisky itself, it has been meticulously crafted by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell, utilizing six sherry-seasoned oak casks. It boasts notes of dried fruit and spices, accompanied by aromas of oak and leather.

"We've dedicated years to collaborating with The Macallan, fostering our partnership, and meticulously creating this remarkable inaugural joint product that embodies the finest qualities of both brands," remarked Bentley's chairman and chief executive, Adrian Hallmark. "Focused on innovative materials that epitomize our forward-thinking approach, the final result—both the whisky and its exquisite vessel—exemplify a new standard for design, materials, and excellence within this realm."

Coming to the materials used, Bentley states the whisky is ensconced in a vessel integrating six distinct materials: whisky, leather, glass, wood, aluminium, and copper. Each material is deemed "essential to The Macallan, Bentley Motors, and a collaboration founded on innovation."

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the bespoke glass bottle is designed for horizontal display, symbolizing an unprecedented approach to product innovation and design, mirroring the automotive world's horizontal trajectory.

An aluminium ribbon, engineered by Bentley, embraces the bottle, paying homage to this versatile material integral to Bentley's car construction.

Encased within a meticulously sculpted structure, lined with low-carbon leather and a recycled copper frame, the bottle features copper sourced from Macallan's old stills. At the apex of the sculpture lies an oak inlay fashioned from one of the six casks employed in the whisky's maturation process. The closure draws inspiration from Bentley's Drive Dynamic Control rotary dial. Finally, the sculpture is adorned with Bentley's Crown Cut Walnut veneer, adding a touch of elegance and refinement.

Each 700 ml bottle possesses an alcohol content of 46.6%. However, if we were fortunate enough to acquire this special whisky, we'd be inclined to preserve it as a cherished display piece rather than uncorking it.
