2020 was supposed to be the year of some amazing cars, but saying things didn’t go as planned would be an understatement. The 2020 Jaguar F-Type was supposed to be one of the year’s highlights and a supercar like this definitely deserves its fair share of attention, but the coronavirus pandemic has prevented that from happening. But either way, Jaguar decided to launch the F-Type without any fanfare, hoping the stellar car solely will be enough to grab eyeballs. The F-Type facelift is now on sale in India, with prices starting at Rs 95.12 lakh and going all the way to Rs 2.42 crore.
Like general facelifts go, the all-new F-Type has undergone a few cosmetic changes as well as tweaks under the hood. In terms of design, Jaguar decided to make the new F-Type look more aggressive and sportier. The headlights and taillights have been designed to look sleeker and the overall design retains the sporty persona and muscular haunches of the previous F-Type.
The cabin doesn’t get too many changes, but Jaguar has attempted to make the cabin look cleaner. You get a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, along with a 10-inch infotainment system, which comes with Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay.
On the inside, you now get two engine options to makes this Jaguar growl the way you want it to. The F-Type comes with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol that delivers 300hp and 400Nm of torque, and a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 that is offered in two options — the P450 V8 with 450hp and 580Nm of torque, and the range-topping P575 V8 with 575hp and 700Nm of torque.
The entry of this new F-Type marks the arrival of a new contender in the supercar category, and the F-Type undoubtedly packs enough to intimidate it’s German rivals.
