TVS Apache RR 310 Launched, Prices Start At Rs 2.05 Lakh

The bike will soon be launched in international markets as deliveries will begin in India by the end of the year

 

 

 

 

Homegrown bikemaker and leading automotive manufacturer TVS Motor Company launched its biggest offering in India, the TVS Apache RR 310 to mark its 35th anniversary in the country. Prices for the bike start at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom) varying from state to state.

 

The TVS Apache RR 310 also marks the company’s entry into the super-premium segment, both in domestic and international markets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First showcased as the TVS Akula concept during the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, the bike flaunts a fully-faired, sporty design with ergonomics optimised to ensure maximum ride comfort, according to the company. The motorcycle wears the first-in-class bi-LED twin projector head lamps for maximum reach and visibility. 

 

The Thermal Management System on the motorcycle is fitted with a special gill profile to shield the rider’s leg from engine heat, and aids better heat dissipation. 

 

During the launch, the company also stressed on the race-inspired vertical speedo-cum-tachometer with 18 racing tell-tale diagnostics, and a comprehensive post-ride analysis.

 

 

 

 

 

The bike comes with an all-new trellis frame for enhanced riding dynamics. The motorcycle uses a unique reverse inclined DOHC (double overhead cam) engine with LCOC (liquid – cooled oil coolant) technology.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The TVS Apache RR 310 gets a 312cc, single-cylinder,  4-stroke, liquid – cooled engine that churns out 33.5bhp@9700 rpm and 27.3NM@7700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gear box as the motorcycle boasts of a top speed of 160 kmph. The 0-to-60kmph dash is completed in just 2.9 seconds, thanks to a low coefficient of drag, according to the Hosur-based manufacturer.

 

 

 

To accentuate the handling and ride experience, the TVS Apache RR 310 gets the Race Spec KYB Suspension that is tested and tuned by MotoGP experts. It is also outfitted with Michelin Street Sport tyres , and is the first sub-500cc motorcycle to use these.

 

 

 

Both, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, will be available as standard on the TVS Apache RR 310 that comes in two hues of Racing Red and Sinister Black. In this segments, the bike will lock horns with the likes of the KTM RC 390, the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the Benelli 302R and the Yamaha R3 that will soon be re-launched.
