Skoda Auto India has just launched the sensational looking Skoda Superb. This is the third generation model of the company’s luxury flagship and it is without a shadow of doubt, the best looking Superb yet. It retains the pervious model’s penchant for enormous amounts of space and comfort and is available with two engine variants – a 1.8 litre TSI turbo-petrol which makes 177 bhp or a 2.0 litre turbo-diesel TDI version making 174 bhp.
The car claims to have improved driving dynamics thanks to a reduction in weight and improved aerodynamics – all characteristic of the new MQB platform which the car is based on. The Superb gets a starting price of Rs 22.68 lakh (Ex-showroom,Mumbai) going all the way up to Rs 29.36 lakh for the top-end (Lauren & Klement) diesel variant. Apart from getting 8-airbags, Electronic Stability Control and an electronic differential lock as standard, the car also gets two umbrellas stowed away in either rear-passenger doors.
The new Superb has a sharp, angular look, in-line with modern Skoda design philosophy which should make it even more popular than the previous model.
