Renault Launches Duster Facelift in India

The Renault Duster competes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross in India

Compact SUVs in India have been selling like hot cakes and most of the major manufacturers in the country are in the process of either launching new products or updating their existing ones. Keeping the later in mind, Renault has gone ahead and finally updated the Duster in India. The French automaker says that the 2019 Duster comes with 25 brand new features and technology enhancements. Prices for Duster range from Rs 7.99 lakh to 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi).

On the outside, the new Duster gets a new front grille with chrome garnish, a newly sculpted bonnet which is also higher to meet pedestrian safety norms, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front and rear skid plates, roof rails and alloys wheels.

As far as the interiors are concerned, the facelifted Duster gets a new steering wheel, rectangular vents in the centre console, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, faux-aluminum along with other subtle changes.

On the safety front, standard equipment includes dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist. The all-wheel drive (AWD) and automatic variants also get ESC and hill-start control. The powertrains and variants on the Duster remain the same with there still being a petrol-automatic (CVT) variant and diesel AWD variant on offer.

“We have a clear goal of growing the Renault brand in India. Towards this, we are strategically strengthening our product range, expanding our network reach and initiating pioneering measures to ensure customer delight. Duster plays a pivotal role in our product portfolio and has the widest offering in the segment, enabling us to cater to evolving customer needs. We are confident that the new Duster will resonate well with discerning Indian customers,” said Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations.
