Tata Motors kicked off the month with the launch of the Nexon Dark and the Nexon EV Dark editions, priced starting from Rs 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Sporting sleek black exteriors and interiors, the Nexon is anticipated to be just one of the several SUVs hitting the market this month. In line with that, let's delve into some of the upcoming releases.
Hyundai Creta N Line
Scheduled for launch on March 11, 2024, the Hyundai Creta N Line is the sportier rendition of the popular Creta SUV, marking Hyundai's third N Line offering in the country, following the i20 and Venue. Equipped with Hyundai’s 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, it makes 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque. As per reports, the SUV will be available in two variants – N8 and N10 – both likely to offer manual and DCT automatic transmission options.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
We’ve known it's been coming for a long time, with March now seeming to be the month when we see the updated Mahindra XUV300 making its debut. Recent spy shots have given us a glimpse of its updated front end, inspired by Mahindra’s forthcoming range of BE electric SUVs. Although Mahindra is yet to disclose the launch date for the XUV300 facelift, expectations are high regarding its unchanged ICE powertrains, including the 1.2-litre turbo petrol, delivering 110PS of power and 200Nm of torque, and the 1.5-litre diesel, producing 117PS of power and 300Nm of torque.
Tata Curvv
The rumour mill has also been suggesting that Tata’s upcoming midsize SUV coupe, the Curvv, is poised to be showcased this month. The EV variant is slated for the initial release, which will then be followed by diesel, petrol, and CNG options. The diesel engine, borrowed from the Tata Nexon, is expected to maintain its output of 115PS and 260Nm of torque. Set to rival various midsize SUVs from prominent global brands, the Curvv stands out with its distinctive SUV-coupe design. High-end variants are anticipated to feature upscale amenities such as all-LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a 360-degree camera.
Fisker Ocean
Take this with a grain of salt, but March appears to be the month when Fisker Ocean will likely dip its toes in the Indian market. The Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition is slated for launch in Q4 2024, hinting at a potential unveil this month. Limited to just 100 units, the Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition is expected to be priced similarly to its Euro-spec counterpart, with additional import taxes and logistics costs. With a 118kWh battery pack and dual electric motors, the Ocean Extreme delivers a combined power output of 550PS, enabling a 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.9 seconds. Certified by WLTP, it offers an impressive range of 707km on a single charge.
