The SUV and the sporty C-Class start at Rs 96.4 lakh and Rs 98 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively.

From the house of Mercedes come two new offerings today – the GLE facelift LWB SUV and the all-new C 43 4MATIC. Starting with the former, the SUV will be offered in both diesel and petrol trims, with a starting price of Rs 96.4 lakh. The German marque will sell the GLE LWB in a total of three trims: a 2.0-litre diesel (272PS/550Nm), a 3.0-litre diesel AMG Line (372PS/750Nm), and the 3.0-litre petrol AMG (386PS/500Nm).

The SUV features a completely redesigned headlight, an updated tail-light section, and a chrome strip running across the centre of the grille. Inside, the GLE boasts S-Class-inspired interiors with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital driver display taking centre stage. Additionally, you also get a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, wireless charging, USB Type C ports, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Mercedes GLE LWB facelift primarily competes against the Audi Q7, BMW X5, and the Range Rover Velar.

Shifting to the sportier side, the Mercedes-AMG C 43 starts at Rs 98 lakh (both ex-showroom) and comes equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit that works in tandem with a 48V mild-hybrid system, replacing the old 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 motor. The updated AMG now delivers a massive 413PS of power and 500Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.6 seconds. Further cementing its sporty credentials, the AMG C 43 features a reworked chassis, a revised front axle, and AMG’s Ride Control suspension.

Interiors and features here are reminiscent of the standard C-Class but with AMG-branded detailing. This can be seen in the digital graphics for the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 11.9-inch touchscreen system. Additionally, the leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, sports seats, pedals, and more also bear AMG branding. Other highlights include the company’s intelligent auto headlights and a 15-speaker Burmester system. The Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC will primarily compete against the Audi S5 Sportback and the BMW M340i.
