The SUV market may be a little saturated, but it is beginning to take an interesting turn. For example, shortly after launching the all-new Creta, Hyundai introduced the sportier variant of the SUV, known as the Hyundai Creta N Line, starting at Rs 16.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Hyundai Creta N-Line joins the ranks of other sportier N-Line variants that the South Korean manufacturer has brought to India, namely the i20 N Line and the Venue N Line. The new Creta will be available in N8 and N10 trims, with the top-shelf model retailing at Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
As for specifications, the top-shelf trim features a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a choice of either a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering 160PS of power. Hyundai has also made changes to the overall driving dynamics, including a stiffer suspension setup, a quicker steering rack, and a throatier exhaust note. Additionally, three different drive modes - Eco, Normal, and Sport - and traction modes - Snow, Sand, and Mud - are available.
Cosmetically, the Creta N-Line now comes with all-new front and rear bumpers, a revised front grille, more pronounced side skirts, and larger 18-inch alloy wheels. Hyundai offers the N-Line in three monotone options - Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, and Titan Grey Matte, with the latter exclusive to the N-Line models, while the others are also available on the standard Creta.
Inside, the N-Line model features all-black interiors with a dual-tone finish, along with metal pedals, N-badged steering wheels, gear knobs, red ambient lighting, and leatherette seat upholstery. In terms of features, the N10 model offers the same amenities as the SX(O) model, including 360-degree cameras, blind-spot monitors, a tyre pressure monitor, an electronic parking brake, Level 2 ADAS tech, and more. Creature comforts include a dual 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, ventilated front seats, and more.
The Hyundai Creta N Line directly competes with the Kia Seltos GT Line and VW Taigun GT, while also serving as a sporty alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Skoda Kushaq.
