Bookings for the 2019 Honda Africa Twin adventure motorcycle are finally open and you can now grab the bike for a price of Rs 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The bike sees a price hike of about Rs 27,000 over the last gen model, Zigwheels reported. But the hike doesn’t come due to any major changes. Other than visual changes like the new Glint Wave Blue Metallic paint scheme, golden handlebars and wheel rims, nothing much has changed. The price hike comes due to the new CKD legislation as well as a hike in raw material cost worldwide.
The Honda Africa Twin comes with its fair share of offerings. One of the most noteworthy being the Dual Clutch Transmission Gearbox (DCT) which allows the rider to cruise on roads without constantly worrying about shifting gears.
It wouldn’t be an adventure bike without having the ability to kick some mud and the Africa Twin gives you all the freedom you’d need for a dirt track. Apart from having the option of riding in a D mode for comfortable riding and S mode for sports activities, the bike offers a G mode which gives the rider a lot more control on gravel and dirt.
The adv bike works on a 1-litre parallel twin engine which churns out about 87.7 bhp of power and 93.1 Nm of torque.
The booking of the Africa Twin is only limited to the first 50 customers, so you might want to rush to your nearest Honda dealership.
