The Navi that drew inspiration from the 125cc Grom was launched in India in 2016, and it certainly caught the eye of buyers thanks to its unconventional design, compact size and performance. However, while it recorded strong sales initially, the interest in the mini-bike dwindled over time, resulting in Honda discontinuing the model in India before the BS6 norms were implemented.

The Navi for export markets is manufactured at HMSI’s plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan, and while there is no official confirmation yet, the model for the US is expected to roll out of the same facility.

In terms of specifications, the Navi sold in the US will be largely identical to the model in India. It gets the 110cc engine and CVT combination from the Activa, with an expected output of around 8PS and 9Nm. It is fitted with a 12-inch wheel at the front and a 10-incher at the rear, it has drum brakes and offers a mileage of 47kpl.

The US-spec Navi will get new turn indicators and a slightly tweaked instrument cluster with the speedometer displaying MPH marking.

The Honda Navi in the US will be offered in four colours and will go on sale from January 2022.
