Ducati launched its spanking new superbike – the Panigale 959 at the ongoing India Bike Week in Goa today. The bike sits right under it’s full-sized superbike sibling – the Panigale 1399. Despite being the baby Panigale, the 959 happens to pack quite a wallop with 157 bhp of power. ‘That said, its aimed at being less of a handful than the 1299 is on track and more suited to everyday use.  

According to Ducati India Managing Director, Ravi Avalur, “We are very excited to bring the new super-mid Ducati Superbike to India. The Ducati 959 Panigale is the perfect balance between impressive design and breath-taking performance and it embodies Ducati’s premium sportbike culture”

Ducati also plans to expand its dealership base in India by opening a few more dealerships in 2016.
