BMW India has officially expanded the 6 Series Gran Turismo lineup by launching the top-shelf 620d M Sport Signature variant yesterday, for Rs 78.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is an increment of Rs 3.4 lakh over the standard 6 Series GT M Sport.

In terms of how it looks, the M Sport Signature edition bears a similar resemblance to the M Sport trim, with notable enhancements such as soft-close doors. Along with it you also get front 'Comfort Seats' featuring full-electric adjustment, memory function, and lumbar support, with specialized backrest cushions for the rear seats.

But that’s not it. The array of features further includes a BMW Display key with Remote Control Parking, keyless entry, automatic locking, powered tailgate, and Rear Seat Entertainment Professional featuring two 10.25-inch screens. Additional bells and whistles also comprise four-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound system, a two-part panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and electrically adjustable sunblinds, among others.

Safety features on the 6 Series GT M Sport Signature encompass six airbags, ABS with EBD, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, Electronic Differential Lock Control, Cornering Brake Control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more.

The 620d M Sport Signature variant utilizes the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine found in other 6 Series GT models, churning out 190PS and 400Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. BMW claims the 6 Series GT can accelerate from 0-100kph in 7.9 seconds.

Currently, the BMW 6 Series GT is priced between Rs 73.50 lakh and Rs 76.90 lakh for petrol variants, and between Rs 75.50 lakh and Rs 78.90 lakh for diesel variants. Its primary competition consists of the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Audi A6.
