After making its debut last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show, BMW’s first entry-level sedan of the year has been scheduled to launch this month. The German carmaker’s 2 Series Gran Coupe sedan will officially touch Indian shores on October 15.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe is arguably the best-looking car in this segment. The design definitely makes an impression with its appropriately-sized kidney chrome grilles, striking headlamps, coupe sloping roof, phenomenal alloys, and BMW’s new, sporty taillight design at the back.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe will first launch with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, that makes 190 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. According to Autocar, a turbo-petrol variant will also be joining later.
Pricing has still not been revealed, and we will only be given the official figure on October 15. But prices are expected to start from Rs 35 to 40 lakh.
