Starting with the design and also the main highlight here, the crossover comes with a similar-looking front fascia to the new Grand Vitara. It gets a large grille, flanked by a pair of sleek LED headlamps. Meanwhile, at the rear, it features the same design language as most modern-day SUVs, with a connected taillight running across the width of the car. From the side, you’ll notice chunky wheel arches and a sloping roofline, adding to its crossover aesthetics.
On the inside, the interiors tell the same story as the Baleno, with premium finishes all around. However, grabbing your attention here will be the 9-inch infotainment system, which comes with smartphone connectivity. Additionally, you also get automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, a premium audio system and a sunroof! Meanwhile, safety is taken care of by a bevy of features such as hill hold and descent control, rear parking sensors, ESC, ABS with EBD and a total of six airbags.
Under the hood, the Fronx comes with two engine options – a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol, which makes 100PS and 149Nm and the 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol motor which makes 90PS and 113Nm of torque. Transmission here is handled by either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox, both of which send power to the front wheel. The Fronx will compete against the Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and more.
