Aprilia Launches Four Motorcycles in India, Introduces John Abraham as Brand Ambassador

The Italians are finally cooking in India

In a bid to make a mark in India's motorcycle scene, Aprilia introduced four motorcycles yesterday - the Aprilia RSV4 Factory, the Aprilia RS 660, the Aprilia Tuono 660, and the Aprilia Tuareg 660. These models will be sold alongside the company's 400cc offering, the Aprilia RS 457, recently launched. Let’s take a closer look at each.

The larger sibling of the Aprilia RS 457, the 660cc motorcycle is priced at Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in three colours: Racing Black, Acid Gold, and Tribute.

Priced at Rs 17.44 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tuono is the naked version of the RS 660, featuring a half-fairing and is available in Torque Red and Rush Grey.

For off-road enthusiasts, Aprilia offers the Tuareg 660, starting at Rs 18.85 lakh (ex-showroom), with a premium variant, the "Evocative Dakar Podium," priced slightly higher at Rs 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom). 

 

All three motorcycles in the 660 range are powered by the same 659cc parallel-twin engine. The RS 660 delivers 100PS and 67Nm, the Tuono 660 offers 95.1PS and 67Nm, while the Aprilia Tuareg 660 produces 81PS and 70Nm. The RS 660 features a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch and standard bi-directional quick-shifter, while the Tuono 660 and Tuareg 660 come with a similar transmission setup but lack the quick-shifter.

April also re-launched the flagship RSV4 Factory priced at Rs 31.26 lakh (ex-showroom), boasting 217PS and 125Nm of peak output from its liquid-cooled 1099cc V4 engine, competing against the Ducati Panigale V4.
