A couple of days ago, Land Rover India introduced the all-new 2024 iteration of the Velar. Priced at a premium of Rs 94.3 lakh (ex-showroom), the Rangie will be offered in a single Dynamic HSE trim. So, what do you get for the additional premium of Rs 4.5 lakh?
Starting with the design, the 2024 Range Rover Velar now comes with a distinctive insert in its front grille, with slimmer ‘Pixel’ LED headlights placed on either side of the bonnet. At the back, the Velar features an updated tail lamp setup with subtle but welcoming revisions to the rear bumpers. Look at it from the sides, and you’ll also notice an updated wheel design.
Get in the cabin, and the first thing to take notice of here is the all-new 14-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system, which controls all aspects of the car, including climate control, volume, seat adjustment, and more. Speaking of the interiors, the Velar gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Meridian sound system, and powered front seats with heating, cooling, and massaging. Meanwhile, safety is handled by ADAS functionality, multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill descent control, hill start assist, electronic parking brake, and more.
Under the hood of the 2024 Velar, you’ll find either a 2-litre four-cylinder petrol motor (250PS) or a 2-litre diesel engine (204PS), both mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission along with all-wheel drive capabilities. Yet another interesting feature here comes in the form of its air suspension, which allows for a superior ride quality no matter if you’re on the tarmac or off it. In terms of competition, the Range Rover Velar will go up against the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Volvo XC90, and Audi Q7.
