Tata Motors will be extensively updating its two popular models, the Harrier and Safari with the much-needed ADAS safety tech. In case you’re unfamiliar, ADAS technology allows cars to get as many as 10 essential safety features. While our wait for the Tata offerings continues, here are some of the SUVs in India under Rs 25 lakh that offers the feature. (all prices, ex-showroom)

2023 MG Hector (Rs 14.72 lakh)Along with the mild design and cosmetic changes, the 2023 Hector and Hector Plus (7-seater) get Level 2 ADAS tech. Powering it is still the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel motors, which make 143PS and 170PS respectively.

MG Astor (Rs 10.51 lakh)Apart from MG’s AI system which works on voice commands, the compact SUV also gets the entire ADAS suite consisting of ane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and more.

Mahindra XUV 700 (Rs 13.44 lakh)Apart from Tata, Mahindra is the second Indian manufacturer to take the safety functionality seriously, with the XUV700 getting a full suite of tech. However, it is only offered in the top-spec AX7 and AX7L trim, with the latter getting adaptive cruise control and blind view on top of lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning and more

Toyota Innova HyCross (Rs 18.30 lakh)The new generation of the Innova lives up to its moniker and how. The MPV now gets a suite of ADAS tech, which includes automatic high beam assist, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, road sign assist, and more.

Hyundai Creta (TBA)We already know Hyundai will be introducing the facelifted version of the Creta this year, with design changes, updated interiors and of course, ADAS safety tech. The upcoming SUV will come packed with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic collision, blind spot monitor and more.
