Royal Enfield 650 Twins Gets Much-Needed Updates

After years of wait, Royal Enfield has finally given the 650 Twins some much-needed modern updates - LED headlamps and alloy wheels.

That’s right, the company has launched the 2023 iteration of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, starting from Rs 3.19 lakh (ex-showroom). This is an increase of Rs 14,000 across variants.

Starting with what’s new, the 2023 models come with LED lighting and a new switchgear design, lifted from the Super Meteor 650.

Another big update includes the addition of alloy wheels, which should make tyre repair jobs easier. These are new Vredestein Centura ST tubeless tyres, which replace the tubed Ceat rubbers from before.

The last update here includes the addition of a USB charging port on the left side of the handlebar.

It continues to be powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin motors, which make 47PS of power and 52Nm of torque.
