The mass-selling SUV will now only be offered in standard 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engines, with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol mill being saved for the facelift coming this year.

Additionally, the diesel variant will now be offered with an iMT clutchless-manual transmission instead of the 6-speed manual offered before. The petrol trim though will get a six-speed manual and CVT options.

The base price of the Seltos has seen an increase of approximately Rs 20,000 for the petrol variants and around Rs 50,000 for the diesel variants. What’s also more interesting is that the top-of-the-line Seltos X will now be offered only with a diesel powertrain.

As mentioned earlier, the Seltos will now be offered in 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel and petrol variants, making 115PS and 116PS respectively. It’ll continue to compete against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Creta and more.
