India's historic feats at the recently-held Oscars 2023—RRR’s Naatu Naatu and The Elephant Whisperers— are one for the books. While nothing tops the win, it was indeed heartening to find homegrown labels on the red carpet. Here’s a quick look at who wore what at the Oscars 2023:

Jr NTRThe south star looked like a truly global Indian on the champagne carpet in a dark-colored Bandhgala. Designed by Gaurav Gupta, his outfit paid homage to India's national animal— Tiger. Interestingly NTR is endearingly referred to as the industry's young tiger.

Ram CharanLike Jr NTR, Charan also walked the champagne carpet in a dapper black ensemble. His ethnic outfit was a three-piece one with a bandhgala jacket, an asymmetrical kurta paired with straight pants. It is a design of Shantanu & Nikhil.

SS RajamouliDirector of RRR, Rajamouli’s work spoke for itself, so it didn't really matter if he made a sartorial statement or not. The filmmaker's simple ensemble felt like a breath of fresh air on the glitzy carpet. Bringing Indian outfits to the global stage, he sported a cream-colored Dhoti, a purple kurta and completed the look with a pair of sturdy brogues.
