Harley-Davidson To Launch Four Special Edition Bikes In India

In a bid to reclaim its footing in the Indian market, Harley-Davidson will be launching the anniversary editions of the Heritage Classic, Fat Boy, Street Glide and Road Glide.

Each bike will get the special “Heirloom Red Fade” colour with a special H-D logo, shaped like a flying eagle to commemorate the brand’s 120th year of existence. Apart from this, the motorcycle will come with blacked-out exhaust pipes and an engine with red accents on the casing.

Heritage ClassicThe cruiser comes with the classic low-slung design, with swept back and raised handlebars, with the front sporting round-shaped headlamps, flanked by similarly shaped turn indicators. Powering it is the 1745cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-twin motor, which makes 144Nm of torque at as low as 3,000rpm.

Fat BoyPopularly known as the motorcycle Arnie rode in The Terminator, the Fat Boy has been the company’s most popular product to date. It is offered in two different engine configurations, Milwaukee-Eight 107 and 114, which make 145Nm and 156Nm respectively.

Street Glide Just like the other products in its lineup, the Street Glide gets the same big cruiser design but takes it up a notch with a massive handle-bar mounted fairing, split seats and a Boom Box GTS touchscreen infotainment system. Powering it is a 1,868cc, V-twin motor which makes 163Nm of torque.

Road Glide Based on the same components as the Street Glide, including the same Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin motor, the Road Glide gets a unique frame-mounted shark-nose fairing, which houses the twin round headlamp assembly.
