After unveiling the Elantra globally and launching the all-new Verna, Hyundai has now showcased the updated Sonata today at the Seoul Mobility Show.

Carrying a similar design language as Hyundai’s flagship, the Grandeur, the Sonata now looks completely different from what you might remember in India. For starters, it gets a similar LED DRL strip running across at the front with a split LED headlamp setup.

Look at it from the side and it still maintains its coupe-like body style elements. The rear though now features a spoiler, which seemingly blends into the design of the car.

On the inside, the sedan now packs a new 12.3-inch touchscreen system with features like 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System, keyless entry, a heads-up display, and ADAS level 2 functionality.

Powering the Sonata is either of three engine options: a 2.5-litre petrol motor, a 2.5-litre turbo petrol option and a 2.0-litre hybrid offering. Out of which, the turbo-petrol offering can only be found on the N Line model.

Before you get your hopes up, it is unlikely that Hyundai will bring the Sonata to our shores.
