Zenith DEFY Extreme E ‘Desert X Prix’
The first of the special-edition series is dedicated to the first race of the Extreme E series scheduled to take place in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. Keeping in tune with the needs and requirements of a motorsports watch, the Zenith DEFY Extreme E ‘Desert X Prix’ comes in a bold and sturdy 45mm carbon and micro-blasted titanium case that is waterproof and crushproof. The watch also incorporates various upcycled elements with the case’s lid coating made from E-grip recycled tires and the plate covering made from Extreme E racing tarpaulin.
The DEFY Extreme E ‘Desert X Prix’ is crafted in light and highly durable carbon-fibre present on the crown and chronograph pushers. The multi-layered dial is home to deep yellow-beige accents, which represent the official colour of the ‘Desert X Prix,’ evoking the vast sand dunes of Saudi Arabia. The skeletonized dial also offers a partial view of the El Primero 9004 automatic movement, the fastest automatic high-frequency chronograph calibre.
The DEFY Extreme E ‘Desert X Prix’ comes strapped to a yellow rubber bracelet made from sustainable materials of recycled Continental CrossContact tires earlier used in the first season of the Extreme E Races.
