Tom Ford has launched their first timepiece, the Tom Ford 001. The item is produced via a collaboration with Bedrock Manufacturing Company, the parent company of Shinola and Filson.

The 001 features a two-hands quartz movement, and the rectangular case comes in either 18-karat gold or stainless steel. It is available in three finishes: brushed, polished, or matte, and you can also chose between a black and white dial.

The watch stands out with its range of luxury straps which can be easily switched out depending on occasion, made from materials ranging from alligator hide to braided leather.

On the classic design of the watch, Ford says, “In general, I dislike a trendy watch, as I am a fairly classic person. For a man who is more traditional, watches are really one of the few accessories he can wear outside of maybe a wedding ring.” He further elaborated, “I don’t love diamonds on a day watch. I have always preferred tank watches, so it felt natural to introduce the rectangular shape to our customer first.”

The understated elegance of the piece offers a genuine option for the discerning watch enthusiast who wants a statement piece, but had perhaps worn tired of the traditional favourites. The watch fits in seamlessly with the rest of Tom Ford’s collections, as a product meant for the stylish, confident, and successful man.
