The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Bronze Gold and Burgundy Is a New Chapter in a Storied Legacy

The Seamaster Diver 300M remains one of OMEGA’s most celebrated and iconic timepiece collections. Now, in 2025, the brand unveils a new series of models in Bronze Gold, combining adventurous spirit and superior precision with an exclusive material design

For over seven decades, the Omega Seamaster has been synonymous with precision, durability, and a distinctly elegant approach to the world of dive watches. First launched in 1948, the Seamaster was born from Omega’s expertise in military-grade timepieces, offering civilian buyers a robust yet refined tool watch. Over the years, the Seamaster has evolved through various iterations, most notably the Seamaster Diver 300M, which gained worldwide recognition when it became James Bond’s watch of choice in 1995’s GoldenEye. Today, Omega continues to push the boundaries of material innovation and design, and its latest launch—the Seamaster Diver 300M in Bronze Gold and Burgundy—presents an exquisite blend of tradition and modernity.

At first glance, the latest Seamaster Diver 300M commands attention with its deep burgundy ceramic dial and bezel. The rich colourway offers a sophisticated contrast to the watch’s most compelling feature: its 42mm case made from Omega’s proprietary Bronze Gold. This alloy is a unique blend of copper, 37.5% gold, and palladium, engineered to develop a subtle patina over time while maintaining its structural integrity and luxurious sheen. Unlike traditional bronze, which oxidises aggressively, Omega’s Bronze Gold ensures a controlled ageing process, allowing wearers to enjoy its warm tones without the risk of excessive tarnishing.

The case design stays true to the Seamaster Diver 300M’s lineage, featuring the signature helium escape valve at 10 o’clock and the iconic wave-patterned dial, which is laser-engraved into the ceramic surface. The applied hour markers and skeletonised hands are crafted in 18K gold, filled with white Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The unidirectional rotating bezel, also in ceramic with a contrasting Ceragold™ diving scale, enhances both functionality and visual appeal.

Omega’s Seamaster Diver 300M series has always been built with serious diving capabilities in mind, and this new model is no exception. As the name suggests, the watch boasts a water resistance of up to 300 metres (1,000 feet), meeting the rigorous standards of professional divers. The screw-down crown ensures maximum water resistance, while the domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides enhances durability and clarity.

The watch is presented on a burgundy rubber strap, a practical yet stylish choice that complements the overall design. The strap is soft, highly resistant to environmental elements, and features a brushed bronze-gold buckle, reinforcing Omega’s attention to detail in ensuring that every component matches the elegance of the case.

Beyond aesthetics, Omega ensures that the Seamaster Diver 300M is as precise as it is beautiful. Powering this timepiece is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, a movement that meets the highest standards of accuracy and durability. Certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), the calibre is resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss, ensuring it remains unaffected by everyday exposure to electronics and industrial environments.

With a power reserve of 55 hours, the movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and features a silicon balance spring for enhanced performance. The watch’s caseback, featuring Omega’s signature sapphire crystal exhibition window, allows a clear view of the beautifully decorated movement, complete with Geneva waves in arabesque.

Omega’s Seamaster Diver 300M in Bronze Gold and Burgundy is priced at approximately **₹12,50,000** in India, reflecting its premium material construction and state-of-the-art horology. While this price positions it firmly in the luxury segment, the watch’s unique metal composition and high-performance movement ensure that it remains a compelling offering for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

With this latest launch, Omega continues to reaffirm its place at the forefront of luxury dive watches, blending historical significance with contemporary innovation. Whether worn as a statement piece or a functional tool, the Seamaster Diver 300M in Bronze Gold and Burgundy is a testament to Omega’s relentless pursuit of excellence in watchmaking.
