Tissot has taken its relationship with Virat Kohli to a new level with a specially customised watch — Chrono XL Classic Virat Kohli 2018. The dial is appropriately in blue, while Kohli’s navy blue logo and signature are engraved on the white silk-printed caseback. On the stopwatch sub-dial the number 18 has been highlighted in red to represent the captain’s India jersey number, as well as the colour of the Swiss flag.

Only 3018 pieces of the limited edition watch will be made and sold, the number chosen to celebrate Kohli’s 30th birthday, which falls next month, and his jersey number. The watch comes with a navy blue leather strap. Says François Thiebaud, Tissot President SA, “This is the first time we have launched a special edition for a cricketer, and I feel extremely proud since it is for Virat, who has excelled in every genre of the sport and has aced innumerable records.” As for Kohli, he couldn’t have been happier. “I’m thrilled to launch a personalised Tissot Chrono XL Classic edition. My three years of association with Tissot have been a wonderful journey,” he says, “I was totally involved in the designing of this line, and I hope you all like it as much as we do.”
