Panerai continues its partnership with BRABUS with the release of a second exclusive timepiece – the Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Blue Shadow Edition

After the success of the first model (Submersible S BRABUS Black Ops Edition) that was a result of the partnership between Panerai and BRABUS in 2021, the two iconic brands are set to take the next step. For 2022, Panerai and BRABUS unveiled a bold new edition at the 2022 Palma International Boat Show – the Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Blue Shadow Edition.

Combining the best of both the brands in regard to its design and functionality, the 200-piece Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Blue Shadow Edition is a bold timepiece dedicated to adventurers and enthusiasts and designed to be worn on the waves.

The overall design of the watch is inspired by the BRABUS Shadow series of boats, mainly the BRABUS Shadow 900 Deep Blue luxury day-boat. This luxury boat also celebrates its debut at the 2022 Palma International Boat Show. Showered with an array of blue and gray tones, the watch is crafted out of titanium and shaped using the process of Direct Metal Laser Sintering or DMLS. What is that, you ask? It is a kind of 3D printing technology that produces volumes that are both strong and lightweight.

The case structure of the watch sticks to signature Panerai designs – this means it features the classic cushion shape and crown protector. Despite coming in at a case size of 47mm, the use of titanium makes this watch very light and sturdy on the wrist. The use of Carbotech on the unidirectional bezel gives the watch a unique character while also boasting durability, lightness and high resistance against corrosion.

Like all watches that belong to the Submersible S (in this case means Skeleton) collection, the Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Blue Shadow Edition also features a skeletonised dial combined with indices and hands filled with Blue Super-LumiNova.  Through the dial, one can see the workings of Panerai’s new P.4001/S caliber skeletonised movement. The P.4001/S caliber is the product of three years of development and includes a GMT function, an AM/PM indicator and three-day power reserve. In addition, the patented polarized date display, offers a view of the date indication only through the opening at 3 o’clock, without revealing the rest of the date wheel or concealing the workings of the movement.

The Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Blue Shadow Edition features two straps, a bi-material option combining black rubber and leather, and a second in deep blue rubber.
