For 2022, TAG Heuer is set to expand two of its most important collections. In commemoration of its 60th anniversary, TAG Heuer has unveiled a slew of new models to its Autavia collection (you can read about it here). The Swiss watch brand also continues its revamp of the collection by launching the new Aquaracer Professional 200 edition.

Available in either 40mm or 30mm stainless steel versions, each new model is bold, stylish and remains true to its designation of being an all-terrain luxury tool watch.

About The 2022 TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200

Following the same design cues of the earlier Aquaracer Professional 300 models, the 2022 editions are also designed to be as comfortable speed flying or ice skiing as it is pounding the pavement. Available in a slighter small case structure than the earlier edition, the Aquaracer Professional 200 is a piece of horology that focuses on refinement. The 40mm (for men) and 30mm (for women) stainless steel cases are equipped with a uni-directional rotating bezel with 12 facets, water resistance to 200 metres and either an automatic or quartz movement working within. In the 40mm collection, there are two automatic and quartz references, while at 30mm there are two automatic and five quartz options.

If you look at the Aquaracer Professional 200, you can see our intention to create an everyday watch that still has the tool watch look that TAG Heuer lovers came to expect from the icons of the past, such as the Reference 844, 1000 and 2000 Series models. It’s an evolution of all this history,” says Guy Bove, TAG Heuer’s Creative Director.

Additionally, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional comes in a range of dial options. These are inculcated into the watch based on the movement that beats within. The automatic models are distinguished by their fumé (smoky) gradient dials, date windows (but without a magnifier to maintain the watch’s streamlined profile), Super-LumiNova sweeping seconds hands, and more detailed minute tracks. The quartz models have no date and a pared-back look by comparison, while otherwise retaining the same aesthetic and technical characteristics. The mechanical models house fumé (smoky) gradient dials in black or blue, or Mother of Pearl variations of the same colours. The quartz models are home to black or silver dials for the 40mm editions and white Mother of Pearl with diamonds for the 30mm.

The 2022 TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 models get stainless steel bracelets and will be available from January 2022.
