Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet was recently invited to Saint-Imier, Switzerland – the head office of Swiss luxury watchmaker Longines, to take a closer looks at the exquisite works on display at the Longines Museum. The British actress, who has been associated with the brand since 2010, also took a tour of the production facility where she witnessed the exquisite process through which each watch is made.
Having taken a walk around the Longiness Museum, which houses timepieces from the time of the brand’s origin, Kate picked out a particular watch which caught her fancy, and decided to have it re-issued at a later date. The proceeds from the sale of the watch will go to the Golden Hat Foundation – a non-profit organisation co-founded by Kate which is dedicated to changing the public perception of people on the Autism spectrum.
