Two Italian icons, Bulgari and Ducati, join hands to blaze a new trail with the launch of an inaugural Bulgari Aluminium Chronograph Ducati Special Edition. Showcasing a shared quest for performance, design and cutting-edge technology, the new timepiece brings together the brands’ commitment to elegance, innovation and historical expertise. 

The new collaboration between the two Italian icons is representative of the power of collaboration, especially in the realms of mechanics. Made of aluminium and rubber, the Bulgari Aluminium Chronograph Ducati Special Edition brings forth a perfect amalgamation of mastery, strength and passion. 

There’s a 40mm case structure that features a chronograph complication with a water resistance of 100 metres. The presence of a rubber bezel bearing the double BVLGARI BVLGARI logo is combined with the aluminium case while the crown and chronograph pushers are available in titanium. 

The case is set with a flamboyant deep red Ducati dial (the signature colour of the historic Bologna-based factories) that houses three sporty chronograph counters, a date display between 4 and 5 o’clock and specially designed 10, 11 and 12 numerals that pay tribute to Ducati’s motorbike dashboards. The hour markers are black in colour providing the perfect contrast against the red dial. Filled with luminescent materials, the central hand measured elapsed seconds while the black counters at 9 and 6 o’clock display the chronograph minutes and hours with red hands. The small seconds hand is located at 3 o’clock

Powering this special timepiece is Bulgari’s mechanical automatic BVL 130 movement that beats at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and ensures tenth-of-a-second accuracy. Finally, the watch comes in a characteristically shaped supple strap and a dedicated aluminium and rubber presentation box bearing the DUCATI and BVLGARI signatures
