Swiss watchmaking powerhouse Jaeger-LeCoultre and Oscar-nominated actress Amanda Seyfried join together to celebrate the season of romance with a graceful photoshop with the celebrated New York photographer, Alique.

The talented actress has been a friend of La Grande Maison since 2019. Ever since she first came across the Swiss watch brand, she instantly fell in love with the feminine complications — a popular feature of the brand, and an intriguing aspect of their timepieces’ beauty and romanticism.

As for the photoshoot, the Mean Girls star wore the Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day timepiece. This elegant example of horology evokes the joy and mystery of romance with its dazzling array of diamonds, a glowing mother-of-pearl dial, and a delicate day-and-night indicator. First launched in 2012, the collection is inspired by the original model from which the collection takes its name. It features a tiny star on the dial perimeter that symbolises marking an appointment — a literal rendez-vous in French.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the sky at night. There’s something so mysterious and romantic about it. Adding such refinement to watchmaking know-how is amazing to me,” says Seyfried. “The diamonds on the Dazzling Rendez-Vous take the round case to another level. There’s something totally mesmerising about that sparkle.”

The Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day is home to two rounds of diamonds. These precious stones surround the mother-of-pearl dial with an outer ring of 36 stones that appear to be almost floating around the watch case. The dial also features an iridescent disc sprinkled with golden stars. With each turn of the disc, one can witness the sun’s curling rays slowly alternate with a gold crescent moon as the day turns into night.
