While we’re still reeling from the events of season 3, Amazon Prime Video has already dropped the first look of The Boys Season 4. The show will be introducing two new recruits in the Vought International line-up – Sister Sage and Firecracker.
Both will be introduced as new characters and do not find their origins in the graphic novel. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering the show has long diverged from its source material. It’ll be interesting to see where Kripe and his team end up taking.
Amazon though says, everything about Firecracker and Sister Sage characters “will be kept under wraps until the season airs.” So, we can leave our tin-foil hat at bay for a while. However, showrunner, Eric Kripke did mention that they will be “Horrific & hilarious & very, very dangerous. Just who #Homelander needs for #TheSeven”
Playing the roles will be Susan Heyward as Sister Sage and Valorie Curry as Firecracker. Heyward was recently seen in the OWN series “Delilah” and will also feature on the Apple TV+ series Hello Tomorrow. However, many might know her as Tamika Ward from the last two seasons of Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black.
Meanwhile, Curry was in Peacock’s The Lost Symbol, a Dan Brown adaptation. Interestingly enough, Curry also starred in Amazon’s The Tick, opposite Griffin Newman and Peter Serafinowicz. Speaking about The Boys, Kripe did mention that the filming is already underway in Toronto. However, we don’t expect anything to be put on screen until early next year.
