“Pornography Destroyed My Family,” Claims Kanye West In A Multi-Post Meltdown

The 45-year-old artist has struggled with multiple addictions throughout his life — many of which came to the forefront after his mother Donda’s death in 2007

In a series of Instagram posts that were since taken down, rapper-producer Kanye West has once again referenced the dangers of porn addiction, while taking shots at his ex-mother-in-law Kris Jenner, Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg, and more.

The reference came in from an Instagram post this Thursday, where Kanye addressed Victoria Villarroel, Kylie Jenner’s former assistant.

“Don’t let Kris make you do playboy like she made [Kylie] and Kim do,” he said to Villarroel, who worked for Jenner between 2015 and 2020. “Hollywood is a giant brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with the addiction Instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago,” he continued.
The initial outburst was clearly targeted at Kris, who has faced criticism for encouraging her daughters (and clients) Kylie and Kim to model for Playboy magazine in September 2019 and 2007 respectively.

Kanye’s History With Pornography

Kanye has addressed his addiction to pornography before, especially back in 2019, during an interview with Zane Lowe for his Apple Music Beats 1 show (pictured above). Even back then, the 45-year-old artist had a deep resentment for Playboy, which surfaced once again this week. Kanye said: “Playboy was my gateway into full-blown pornography addiction. My dad had a Playboy left out at age 5, and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life. From age 5 to now having to kick the habit. And it just presents itself in the open, like it’s OK. And I stand up and say, you know, it’s not OK.” He further continued, “With God, I’ve been able to beat things that had a full control of me,” referencing the more gospel, Christian references throughout his work, most specifically his ninth studio album, Jesus Is King.
“That Playboy that I found when I was 5 years old was written all over the moment that I was at the MTV Awards with the Timberlands, the Balmain jeans – before people were rocking Balmain jeans – and the Hennessy bottle. That was such a script out of a rockstar’s life. My mom had passed a year before, and I had said, ‘Some people drown themselves in drugs. And I drown myself in my addiction’,” he added, commenting on his infamous MTV VMAs interruption of Taylor Swift back in 2009.

Following the initial tweet against Kris, Kanye sent forth a series of screenshots on Instagram, presumably a text interaction with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

The first one takes further shots at Kris, who seems to have disliked the name-dropping on Villarroel’s account.

Kanye then expressed frustration at not being able to have a say in his kids’ schooling plans. The post also name-drops Trevor Noah, the Daily Show host who once slammed Kanye for his public outbursts
against Kim after their divorce.

Here Kanye talks about ‘Sierra Canyon’ in reference to his son North West’s current school. The GAP and Adidas, who Kanye has collaborated with and had a falling out, could be referenced here in regard to conspiracy theories that revolve around them. The text caption “Hilary and Mark” is in reference to
Hillary Clinton and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Kanye finally ended his rant by telling Kim that she doesn’t have the ‘say so of where the kids go to school’, despite it clearly being a legal right following the split. He then brought race into the picture,
calling out Kim for being ‘half white’.
The school-related frustration may also be tied to Kanye’s ‘Donda Academy’, which is his only
undeleted post on the platform as of now.

The Christian private school, spearheaded by Kanye himself and named after his late mother, will
accept students between Pre-K to 12th grade, and offers the following mission statement: “Using an ethic of integrity and care, Donda Academy prepares students to become the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators by providing them with a world-class education that includes a rigorous core curriculum, and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.”
West also shared various posts where he was calling out Adidas and Gap, two entities that he’s recently slammed.
He first called out Adidas for making decisions without him in terms of the distribution of his Yeezy shoe collection and then Gap for allegedly copying his Yeezy and Balenciaga collection with them.
