Inspired by the ’70s ski wear, Z Zegna is back with its new Winter 2017 collection which includes Techmerino jerseys, Techmerino silk and a whole lot more.
This season, layering is the key and Z Zegna ensures comfort and performance in its new collection, which is an iconic throwback to the Ermenegildo Zegna Skiwear project of the 1970s.
While its Icon Warmer Ski Suit comes with an integrated heating technology, the colorful collection of its 30 super-lightweight sneakers have been entirely created out of Techmerino.
“To enhance the juxtaposition of tailoring and performance-wear, we created a new wardrobe that meets the active lifestyle of contemporary men while emphasizing a clean, linear and luxurious aesthetic” explained Alessandro Sartori, Artistic Director of Ermenegildo Zegna. “The choice to extend the use of Techmerino in new sophisticated combinations as a central element to the collection is a natural evolution of the Z ZEGNA philosophy, and pays tribute to the textile innovation Ermenegildo Zegna is known for.”
Their interesting color palette, which includes splashes of yellow alongside some muted colours, pays a heavy tribute to the sportswear-infused graphics of the 1970s.
This collection is a reflection of the new era of performance-backed tailoring, where the use of the latest technological helps create a multifunctional attire for the modern adventurer.
