Through the years, Frederique Constant has constantly upgraded its classical timepiece offering. One of its flagship collections – the Classics – returns in 2022 with a total of five self-winding models – three Index versions and two HeartBeat variations. These 40mm Classics Index Automatic models are available in two case materials: polished gold stainless steel and polished stainless steel. The two-part case features a scratch-resistant convex sapphire crystal with a closed caseback and water-resistant up to 50 metres. One of the most exciting aspects of these new models is the dial which is also rightly called the face of the watch.
Available in silver and khaki colours, the dial of the Frederique Constant Classics Index Automatic 2022 editions comes with clous de Paris guilloché decoration in the centre. The beauty of the dial is further accentuated with printed Roman numerals and a simple date window at 3 o’clock. The simplistic approach to the dial conveys the watchmaker’s identity values and makes it immediately recognisable.
Further adding to the overall classic aesthetic of the Frederique Constant Classics Index Automatic collection is the dark brown (for the pink gold-plated edition) and black (for the stainless-steel versions) leather straps. Each new model in the collection is powered by the automatic FC-303 calibre that clocks in a power reserve of 38 hours and offers time and date functions.
