Sound Of Eternity:
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the popular L.U.C collection is a trio of new chiming watches that use the monobloc sapphire crystal and gong system, unveiled by Chopard at the 2022 Watches & Wonders. It includes the L.U.C Strike One, L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire and L.U.C Full Strike Tourbillon models created under the guidance of Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and led by virtuoso cellist and violinist Gautier and Renaud Capuçon.
The L.U.C Strike One is a 25-piece limited series in ethical rose gold with a guilloché gold dial, the L.U.C Strike Sapphire is limited to just five pieces and is presented in a case made entirely of transparent sapphire along with a peerless minute repeater. Lastly, the L.U.C Full Strike Tourbillon achieves the incredible feat of combining a tourbillon within the limited space of an in-house minute repeater calibre. Available in a 20-piece limited edition, the L.U.C Full Strike Tourbillon comes in a rose gold edition set with a guilloché gold dial.
With the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon, Chopard welcomes its first complication watch to bear the Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark, courtesy of the innovative flying tourbillon movement working within. The L.U.C 96.24-L is a 3.30mm thick movement borne out of the manufacturing facilities of Chopard is made up of 189 components. It clocks in a power reserve of 65 hours and offers advanced characteristics that enable it to bear double Chronometer and Poinçon de Genève certification.
The Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon comes in a 41mm Lucent Steel A223 case with an integrated bracelet and a textured Aletsch Blue dial.
Alpine Eagle XL Chrono
Offering high-precision functions and a dynamic look, the all-new Alpine Eagle XL features a flyback chronograph function fitted for the first time with a contemporary rubber strap. Available in a 44mm Lucent Steel A223 case with an Aletsch Blue or Pitch Black dial options, the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono is strongly inspired by the power of the eagle and the beauty of the Alps.
The new models are powered by Chopard 03.05-C chronometer-certified movement that clocks in a power reserve of 60 hours and offers a multitude of functions including chronograph, tachymeter and stop-seconds etc. The Alpine Eagle XL Chrono comes in an integrated metal bracelet and a leather option along with a new rubber strap giving it a more sporty-chic aesthetic.
L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer
Harbouring a wealth of secrets and symbols, the newly unveiled L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer is a 50-piece limited edition vintage style watch crafted in ethical 18-carat yellow gold. One of its most attractive feature is the presence of an officer-type back cover that opens to reveal ultra-thin 3.30mm L.U.C 96.01-L movement working inside.
The 40mm case is set with an exceptionally refined Forest Green dial made on a solid 18-carat gold base. The dial is adorned with an outer chapter ring in sunburst satin-brushed decoration and a hand-guilloché honeycomb motif at the centre. The L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer is available in a hand-sewn brown alligator leather strap with green alligator lining.
Happy Sport Chrono
Making an impression from the word go is the chic and ultra-feminine Happy Sport Chrono timepiece housing an elaborate chronograph complication. Sporty by nature and ethical in essence, the daring 40mm Happy Sport Chrono marks the entry of feminine timepieces that do not need to hold back. It features seven dancing diamonds swirling around its elegant dial, framed by a case made entirely of ethical 18-carat rose gold or a bi-material version made of stainless steel and ethical 18-carat rose gold.
The Happy Sport Chrono is powered by an automatic chronograph movement with a COSC-certification and a 54-hour power reserve. The watch comes in a blue leather strap that matches perfectly with its chic yet casual aesthetics.
