Tanuj Virwani: The Actor's Morning Routine
Tanuj Virwani: The Actor’s Morning Routine

And it’s the stuff of champions.

Inside Edge star Tanuj Virwani has tasted success in the OTT space, but he’s gunning for the big screen with Yodha, an upcoming Dharma movie, where he’ll be seen alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. The actor tells us how he continues to stay on top of his game.

How do you start your mornings?

Tanuj Virwani: I like to start my day with a nice English breakfast.I think visualization is key so I set some time aside to clear my thoughts, make a list of things I’d like to achieve, and set the tone for the day.

What’s sitting on your bathroom shelf?

TV: Lots of cleansing gels from South Korea.

Go-to grooming products?

TV: Not a sucker for brands. But I think a good deep-pore cleansing face wash is a must. And so is a nice shaving/trimming kit.

Your day and night fragrances?

TV: I don’t have separate scents for the day and night. What I use usually depends on my mood and not the time of day. So, my current favourites are Calvin Klein Be EDT, DAVIDOFF Cool Water. I also think Issey Miyake has some really nice fragrances.

How do you like your coffee?

TV: This might come off as a surprise, but I honestly don’t like tea or coffee. I like to end my day with a tall glass of chilled flavoured milk.

What does breakfast look like?

TV: A generous serving of chicken sausages, some fruit, baked beans and fresh orange juice. I love idlis on days when I crave South Indian food.

What’s your workout routine like?

TV: I don’t really enjoy running on a treadmill or spending too much time at a gym unless a role demands it. I prefer running outdoors, with the wind in my face and some great music in my headphones. So yes, a good couple of hours are dedicated to running on a regular day.

Different news portals you check out in the morning?

TV: CNN, BBC, and box office websites like Collider.

Morning music

TV: Trance and EDM. I also love listening to instrumental music. I’ve always said this and I continue to believe there’s nothing like our Bollywood chart-busting music to put you in a great mood.

What are you currently reading?

TV: Unfortunately, only scripts. Web-series scripts are usually a hefty pile so it leaves one with little time and choice to read anything else.

Three things we’ll always find on your nightstand

TV: An eye mask/ pad, a bottle of water and a hairband that my fiancé recently gifted me.
