The leading Indian test squad is in England and is enjoying their little holiday before the grind begins again. The team lost the inaugural World Test Championship final to New Zealand in a six-day affair partially dominated by rain. After the final, the players were allowed to leave the bio-bubble as the next match they play is against England starting August 4, 2021. Let’s see how the players are utilising their free time in England.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma recently posted on Instagram and were seen drinking coffee in a cafe in England. They did not specify the location in which they were drinking coffee, but they were having some good quality time alone.

Indian team Vice Captain for ODIs and T20Is, Rohit Sharma and his family, and the Test Vice Captain, Ajinkya Rahane, were seen touring and exploring the cities. Ajnikya posted the pictures on Instagram, and they, along with their children, seem to be pretty delighted.

Rohit was also seen doing an ad shoot where he is wearing a cooking apron. His wife posted a story on Instagram to which Rohit Sharma responded and reposted on his account. Rohit also met former Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Siddhesh Lad, who is undergoing a county stint in England.

Indian speedsters were also enjoying their time off, as Jasprit Bumrah, along with his newlywed and ICC and Star Sports presenter, Sanjana Ganesan, was sitting in a park in London and enjoying their time together. Mohammad Shami posted a picture of himself on Instagram and wrote that he is exploring some new places.

While young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant had watched the Euros round of 16 match-ups between England and Germany with some of his friends, some other celebrities like David Beckham and Ed Sheeran were also in attendance.

All the test squad players have to report on July 14, 2021, where they would have to do a small quarantine and enter the bio-bubble. This break provides a much-needed rest and holidays for the players to spend time with their families and not think about Covid and cricket for once. This would help their mental health and stability for a long time as they have continuous series and International matches to attend.
