Interestingly, Messi’s boyhood club, Barcelona, is also going through a monetary crisis due to mismanagement by its former president. Many players had taken a wage cut, while Messi had to leave the club due to financial irregularities.

The first season of the show was released earlier this year. Messi will make a guest appearance in the second season, which is due to be aired next year. The shooting is done in Buenos Aires and Paris, and as per some reports, the player has already shot his scene.

Previously, Messi’s appearance in a Pepsi commercial was well-received by the fans. The PSG forward earned over $100m from the ads alone, and was named the second richest athlete in the world by Forbes magazine.

As far as football is concerned, Messi recently guided Argentina to the second international trophy in 2022 as they beat Italy in the Finalissima. Earlier this year, Argentina defeated their arch-rival Brazil in the Copa America final. His main goal will be to lay his hands on the elusive FIFA World Cup title.

Emiliano Martinez, his colleague, revealed this is going to be the last year of Messi in an international football.”He made a speech saying this was going to be his last one and that he was going to give it his all,” Aston Villa stopper Martinez told Prime Video.

“I was like, little shivers, to Messi talking. Everyone shuts up. They’re all like that, whoever it is: manager, President of Argentina, whoever is there. They just shut up.”
