Shakira and her long-time boyfriend Gerard Pique have already announced the separation after a union that lasted for over a decade. While Pique continues to reside in Barcelona, Shakira has shifted her base to Miami, where she lives with their two children.
However, Shakira’s most prized possession is still with Pique, at his office headquarters in Kosmos. “Shakira’s Grammy awards are still on display there, and he hasn’t given them back to her,” reported Marca. Shakira, however, is desperate to regain possession of her Grammy and 15 other awards that are showcased in Pique’s office.
Shakira first won Grammy in 2000 for Best Latin Pop album. Four years later, she won her second grammy in the Best Latin Rock category for her album Fijación Oral Vol. 1. El Dorado, released in 2018, gave her the third Grammy of her career, in the Latin Pop category.
A few weeks ago, pictures emerged of Shakira and Pique before the separation, where they were seemingly having a furious argument on the yacht during a vacation.
Shakira is coming up with a new song, which is reportedly about her ill-fated relationship with the Spanish defender. Titled Te felicito, the song has hard-hitting lyrics about betrayal and has already raked up over 60 million views.
Recently, Pique was captured kissing his current girlfriend Clara Chia Marti at the Summerfest in Catalonia. Clara is a PR student, currently working for Pique’s media investment firm.
Pique was kicked out of their house by Shakira when she came to know about his fling with Clara. Since then, Pique has been living alone at a bachelor pad in Barcelona, and often returned late at night, mostly in a drunken state.
Pique’s long and illustrious career with Barcelona has almost come to an end after the head coach Xavi Hernandez stated that he doesn’t need the service of the 34-year-old defender at the club.
Shakira, meanwhile, has been charged by the Spanish authority for not paying $15 in tax between 2012 and 2014. She may face an imprisonment of up to eight years, if proven guilty.
