There's something a bit disconcerting about the incredibly high output of Erling Haaland in the Premier League. Strikers come from Germany to fail. There were precedents too: Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. Both came with great hopes to replicate their supremacy for Chelsea. 

They failed miserably, never reaching the highs of the Bundesliga. Haaland was assumed to be cut from the same cloth. He was prolific for Borussia Dortmund, but he also got a whole lotta space to think, rewire, and maybe introspect, before firing into the back of the nets. Here in the Premier League, you don't get such privileges. 

Everything happens at the speed of light. Just that not many considered that Haaland too plays at the same speed, if not more. And so far, the defenders have failed to stop him. It's his third season in England, and there's no signs of weariness yet. He is scoring goals for fun. Haaland started off this season with a bang, scoring ten goals in the first six matches, and two in the European competition.

He takes home a weekly wage of $350 per month. Haaland's contract with Nike comes to £200m for a period of ten years. He also makes a fortune from a company that he runs with his father, Alfe 3. The Norwegian recently set up an investment firm in Luxembourg to manage his assets. As per Forbes, Haaland's net worth is estimated to be $61 million. In terms of a highest-paid athlete in the world, Haaland ranks 27th, and he is just started.
