All set for the first ever Coldplay concert in India? Well, here’s some interesting news for you. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh will be sharing the stage with the British rock band at the Global Citizen Festival, scheduled for November 19, 2016. There are numerous Indian performers such as AR Rahman, Aamir Khan among others, lined up for the event, which is an initiative to promote the cause of ending poverty across the world.
Global Citizen India is focused on creating an impact in areas such as equality, sanitation, education and other causes, and the concert will feature live performances along with some short films created by eminent filmmakers.
Wizcraft, which hosted Michael Jackson’s debut in India (1996), will co-produce the festival.
And don’t be disappointed with the rumoured ticket prices because on Monday, Global Citizen will be announcing how you can lay your hands on the tickets, which are free, but come with a clause.
“Starting Monday, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.IN. In its first year, Global Citizen India will offer a wide cross-section of content and actions focused on creating meaningful impacts in the areas of education, equality, and clean water and sanitation,” they mentioned on their website.
