South Indian superstar Prabhas is a new parent! The actor recently adopted 1,650 acres of reserve forest on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The Telugu actor donated a cheque of Rs 2 crore to the Indian Forest Department for the development of Khazipally reserve forest on the Outer Ring Road near Dundigal.
While a majority of the forest will be conserved, a small chunk of the forest will be converted into an “eco park” which would include a walking track, view point, gazebo and a medicinal plant centre.
Prabhas was accompanied by Telangana Forest Minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who together laid the foundation stone for the eco park.
According to The Tribune, Prabhas stated that he was inspired to adopt the land thanks to his friend Santosh Kumar, who himself adopted a region of the Keesara reserved forest last year. Prabhas has also promised to donate more in the future depending on the progress of the park.
