The three-part docu-series will follow the roller-coaster journey of Brazilian football star Neymar
Sports documentaries seem to be the flavour of the season. The latest addition is The Perfect Chaos, based on the life of Brazilian footballer Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior. The three-part series will hit Netflix on January 25th and will follow the footballer’s journey from his early days in Brazil, his time at Barcelona to his world-record-setting transfer to PSG.
Netflix has described the documentary as “One of the most famous and highest-paid athletes in history – like you’ve never seen before.” Directed by David Charles Rodrigues, who’s known for his 2019 documentary called ‘Gay Chorus Deep South, the series will also include interviews with icons such as David Beckham, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi.
Neymar isn’t the only athlete who is getting an OTT series this year. Manchester United star, Paul Pogba has an Amazon documentary coming up, aptly titled The Pogmentary. Additionally, the Arsenal Football Club will be the subject of Amazon’s new season of All or Nothing.
