“Headlight si aakhein thi, aur flying saucer jaisi kaan” (Eyes like headlights and ears like flying saucers).
That is the only thing you will gawk at while watching the recently released trailer of PK. After Haider, Rajkumar ‘Hattrick’ Hirani’s PK is definitely the other film that moviegoers are expectantly waiting for.
For starters, it’s an Aamir Khan film. Even if he does not promise quality, you can be dead sure that the man is going to come up with something drastically out-of-the-box. And his last collaboration with Hirani proved to be a commercial gem. Hirani, he who hath never had a flop, possesses that elusive magic trick of marrying sense and commerce adeptly, giving us films that educate and entertain.
The rest of the cast has talented veterans like Saurabh Shukla, Hirani regulars Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt, Bollywood’s latest golden boy Sushant Singh Rajput and the effervescent Anushka Sharma.
Based in Rajasthan, PK reminds you of Forrest Gump and a slew of Hollywood films on misfits and man-boys, whom no one seems to understand. But knowing Hirani, he definitely has more than just an ace up his sleeve.
