As promised at the CES 2020, Google is here with another popular feature. Popularly called the ‘read-out’ feature in the media, it allows Android users to listen to the contents of web pages. Financial Express reports that this new feature will work on all the platforms associated with Google such as Chrome browser, Google Search and the News app.
A mere command to the assistant like a “Hey Google, read aloud”, “Hey Google, read it”, or “Hey Google, read this page” will allow the Google assistant to read aloud the contents of the web page.
According to the tech giant, this newly-introduced feature will be available in 42 languages. Languages like Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Sinhalese, Tamil, and Telugu form part of the languages available.
This is part of Google’s bid to help improve users’ experience and this latest Google Assistant functionality is one of the examples proving that the tech giant is doing its part.
