Elon Musk Conducts A Poll On Whether He Should Step Down AS Twitter CEO; Mr Beast, Tom Anderson And More Respond
Elon Musk Conducts A Poll Asking If He Should Step Down As CEO From Twitter

The drama has no end!

The Elon Musk x Twitter drama refuses to die. After introducing and taking back a plethora of changes on the social media app, the former world’s richest man recently conducted a poll on Twitter about whether he should step down as the head of the company, promising that he’ll abide by the result of the poll.

Before you ask, the poll (at the time of filing this story) stands at 56 percent in favor of Musk stepping down as a CEO, with 13,065,033 votes being cast so far. Musk, who assumed the role of CEO at the end of October has been busy, firing a host of senior executives, introducing controversial changes, and overall getting booed at a Dave Chappel stand-up.

Musk also walked back his recent policy of banning and removing the accounts, which offered “free promotion of certain social media platforms. This obviously included sites like Facebook and Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr, and Post, but didn’t include ByteDance-owned Tiktok.

During the initial ban, Musk commented saying, “We recognize that many of our users are active on other social media platforms. However, we will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter.” further adding, “We still allow cross-posting content from any social media platform. Posting links or usernames to social media platforms not listed above are also not in violation of this policy.”

This was right after Musk lifted his own rule of banning Twitter accounts that were accused of “doxing real-time location” of well-known public figures.

After his (in)famous cameo during a Chappel stand-up, the billionaire was seen attending last night’s FIFA World Cup final between France and Argentina, in Qatar. Musk was seen alongside Jared Kushner, former US presidential adviser, and Donald Trump’s son-in-law.

Coming Back To The Story, Here’s How The Internet Reacted To The Poll :
