Well, readers, looks like all your wishes are coming true. The Hollywood Reporter and Variety reported on Tuesday that there were talks about an unscripted reunion starring all six of the original cast of FRIENDS and that it would air on the upcoming streaming service, HBO Max.
Of course, actress Jennifer Aniston broke the internet a few weeks ago with her Instagram post which featured her FRIENDS co-stars, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer. It broke the record for the most-liked photo on the social media app.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter and Variety that the talks would not focus on reviving the comedy series, however. According to Nielsen data, the series which has 10 seasons, was the second most-watched show on Netflix last year.
“We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying. We’re working on something,” Aniston told Ellen DeGeneres on her show last month and added that she posted the selfie on Instagram “because we miss each other and we all happened to be in the same part of the world.”
