'Resident Evil: Village' Gets A New Expansion Pack
You Get To Be Lady Dimitrescu In ‘Resident Evil Village’s’ New Expansion Pack

Capcom has finally answered our prayers..well, at least some of it!

Buckle up, folks! Looks like the Resident Evil Village memes aren’t going away anytime soon. Recently, Capcom announced new details on last year’s video game, including an expansion pack and a new third-person mode.

The new expansion pack will be called ‘Shadows of Rose,’ and will star Rose the daughter of Ethan Winters, the primary protagonist of the main game. Here’s what Capcom’s Tsuyoshi Kanda wrote on the PlayStation blog, “Rosemary Winters, Ethan’s beloved daughter, has grown up and is now struggling with terrifying powers.”

Further adding, “In search of a way to break free from her curse, Rose enters the consciousness of the Megamycete. Rose’s journey takes her to a mysterious realm where memories of the past return to create a warped and twisted world of nightmares.”

The expansion pack will entirely take place in a third-person perspective, a huge departure for the series. The developer also confirmed that players opting for the DLC will have the option to experience the main story of Village in the same POV. Additional updates include changes to the Mercenary mode, with new stages and playable characters, which yes, also include playing as everyone’s favourite nine-foot-tall Lady Dimitrescu.

Resident Evil: Village Winter’s Expansion will be available from October 28th, 2022, just in time for Halloween. The company also made a bunch of other announcements, including next-gen updates to Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 which are available from today. Along with it, there’s also the announcement of an online multiplayer game called Resident Evil Re: Verse, which will come out the same day as Winter’s Expansion.
